I have been part of the "office" environment for decades, attended BSU for small business management 20 plus years ago (always intended to be my own boss), and for the last 10 years I was able to realize my dream of being an entrepreneur. During that time I was blessed to manage a team of wonderful women, many who remain my closest friends. As my life has continually evolved, I decided to walk a different path in the beginning of 2008 by taking my organizational and creative qualities to start a new business that would give me even more flexibility. Being a single Mother of a disabled son, I needed to work from home making my own decisions and my own hours. Luckily with the advent of telecommuting, there were new opportunities to do just that. Even though I try to keep those "regular" business hours, I could be working in my pj's in the middle of the night while the rest of the world sleeps or sleeping while the world moves hastily on around me!
I was lucky enough to take all the skills I have learned over the years to make a unique life of my own. I embrace where my life is and I absolutely love doing this as my career -- notice, not job, but career. I am in this for the long haul and look for clients that want to build a long-term working relationship. I have found what I was meant to do and I will strive to help you to do the same!
My best working qualities? I am highly organized and have helped clients, friends and family re-organize their offices...sometimes over and over as some folks will always be pilers instead of filers! Teasingly said...give her 5 minutes and she will find it. I am the go-to gal to find out information as I don’t mind researching nor do I give up easily on finding an answer! I am proud to say that my high level of patience and natural giving attitude only benefits my proof-reading and administrative support skills.
Having a disabled child has shown me that the little things in life matter. He has taught me to slow down and hit the pause button in life often. My goal is to make sure that you have the time to enjoy all those moments that you may have been overlooking because you just don’t have time to breathe deeply. I hope that we can build a relationship that will benefit us both for years to come. ~cathy g
